《新理念大學(xué)英語泛讀教程（第3冊）》是英語教學(xué)不可缺少的教學(xué)內(nèi)容，也是英語其他課程的一個(gè)重要補(bǔ)充。本“教程”內(nèi)容是圍繞提高學(xué)生的英語能力所設(shè)計(jì)的。為了達(dá)到這個(gè)目的，根據(jù)“泛讀教程’’的教學(xué)特點(diǎn)和要求，在編寫過程中著重強(qiáng)調(diào)了如下幾個(gè)方面的內(nèi)容：
為了擴(kuò)大學(xué)生的英語詞匯量，拓寬知識范圍，獲得更多的知識信息，豐富學(xué)生的語言知識，本教材注重選材范圍，力求涵蓋社會科學(xué)、人文科學(xué)以及自然科學(xué)等方面的內(nèi)容。一、二冊著重選擇適用英語，如：電子商務(wù)、經(jīng)濟(jì)、貿(mào)易、金融、證券交易等方面的文章；三、四冊側(cè)重于選擇社會科學(xué)和人文科學(xué)以及自然學(xué)科等方面的文章。本教材的教學(xué)目的是要求學(xué)生以自學(xué)為主，故文章的篇幅不宜太長。一、二冊的文章250～300個(gè)單詞，三、四冊的文章350～400個(gè)單詞。文章由易到難，便于學(xué)生閱讀、理解和掌握，從而提高學(xué)生的閱讀興趣和學(xué)習(xí)效果。
