近年來，隨著高校大學(xué)英語教育改革的日益深入，英語報(bào)刊教學(xué)現(xiàn)已發(fā)展成為大學(xué)英語系列拓展類課程之一。孫志青、尹國(guó)梁主編的《英文報(bào)刊選讀（普通高等教育十二五重點(diǎn)規(guī)劃教材）》是針對(duì)大學(xué)非英語專業(yè)二、三年級(jí)學(xué)生編寫的。教材按主題分為12個(gè)單元，涵蓋教育、網(wǎng)購、網(wǎng)絡(luò)安全、智能手機(jī)、食品安全、環(huán)境問題、新能源汽車等社會(huì)熱門話題，文章主要選自近兩年的國(guó)內(nèi)外知名報(bào)刊，具有較強(qiáng)的時(shí)效性和實(shí)用性。
