《印刷專業(yè)英語》自2007年出版迄今,已經6年過去了。該教材面世以來,蒙讀者垂青,至2012年底已重印6次,被國內十余所高職高專院校印刷技術、印刷圖文信息處理、印刷設備及工藝等專業(yè)作為專業(yè)課程教材廣泛使用,并且反映良好。編者在深感欣慰之余,也深知教材中仍存在不少問題。同時,近年來新技術革命也促使印刷技術發(fā)生了前所未有的深刻變化,這就要求本教材也要不斷完善和提高。為此,在出版社和廣大讀者的支持下,編者從2011年底開始,著手該教材的再版修訂工作。
在本次修訂過程中,編者尤為重視相關院校授課教師及讀者的反饋意見。自2007年以來,不少熱心讀者通過電子郵件、電話、信函等方式反饋了對本教材的意見和建議,出版社的編輯多次到相關院校走訪、座談,收集并整理了相關院校對本教材的使用意見和建議,其中一些意見非常具體細微,多有真知灼見,編者借此機會深表感謝。
此次再版,對第一版教材的內容和編排方式都進行了較大程度的調整和修改。在修訂過程中,力圖緊扣培養(yǎng)掌握職業(yè)所需要的基礎知識和專門知識,具有從事職業(yè)的綜合素質和職業(yè)能力的技能型人才這一職業(yè)教育目標。
在內容上,新版教材替換了第一版教材中不適應最新前沿印刷技術的章節(jié),增添了反映印刷前沿技術、反映綠色環(huán)保印刷理念、反映印刷行業(yè)采用的新技術、新工藝、新材料以及提高生產效率的管理新理念的章節(jié)。全書分為8章,共20課,取材范圍廣,內容涉及圖像信息傳播原理、印前工藝技術、印刷色彩管理、印刷工藝原理及設備、印后加工技術、印刷材料及印刷管理等領域。
在編排方式上,也進行了探索和改進,力求結合實際,注重實際應用。新版教材每課除了正文以外,還設有詞匯、注釋、補充閱讀材料、練習題,以擴大學生的專業(yè)詞匯和專業(yè)知識面。取消了第一版教材中每課的譯文,改成了難點釋疑,避免學生對譯文的依賴。同時在每課后面均設有與正文內容同步,一定數(shù)量的多種類型的練習題,以幫助學生加深和鞏固所學知識。
為方便教師教學,新版教材還為授課教師提供配套的教學資源(電子版),包括全部課文的譯文和參考電子課件,可通過印刷工業(yè)出版社獲取。
本教材此次修訂再版,得到了本書責任編輯魏欣同志的大力幫助和支持。她不辭辛苦,多方調研,以教學需要及使用效果為出發(fā)點,將收集到的修改意見和建議及時反饋給編者,同時將她本人深思熟慮的修改計劃與編者進行多次溝通討論,最終與編者確定了修訂方案,在此表示衷心的感謝。
由于編者水平有限,書中難免存在缺點和疏漏,敬請廣大讀者批評指正。
